Ashly McCullough

Coach Ashly McCullough relaunched Basketball Preparatory Academy (BPA) in July 2025, returning to the AAU program he played for in high school. Originally founded by Randy Gilmer, the Lancaster-based program grew from one team to seven in its first year under McCullough’s leadership, guided by its core values: Development, Character, and Family.

McCullough is the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Eastside High School and previously led Lancaster High School’s girls program to a Golden League Championship and a 22–6 record. His combined head coaching record is 94–50, reflecting his commitment to leadership, accountability, and player development.

A former collegiate player at East Los Angeles College, McCullough holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Management and a master’s degree in Coaching and Exercise Science. He is dedicated to helping student-athletes succeed academically, athletically, and personally.

Greg Slade

Athletic Director | Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

A 2003 Palmdale High School graduate, Greg Slade played collegiate basketball at Antelope Valley College, Skagit Valley College, and Seattle Pacific University before competing professionally in the IBL, ABA, and with touring teams throughout North and South America.

Slade has served 12 years as Palmdale High School’s Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and five years as Athletic Director. His passion for athletics is rooted in faithfulness, discipline, and transformational leadership, with a commitment to developing athletes, building character, and inspiring excellence both on and off the court.
